    cheat.dat

Do you also have problems with the cheats when using newer versions of MAME?

Since some versions, when I implement the cheat.dat file as usual (like in the previous releases), it doesn't work anymore. I tried several things out, but I don't get the cheat menu anymore displayed in the dip switches??

Someone else with that problem, or the solution?

I've not tried the cheats.dat with the latest version. I will give it a go later tonight and let you know.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Just wanted to mention that the cheats are enabled in the options.

There's only one strange thing. In the options drop down menu, you can chose to load the cheat, history, mameinfo file, which also works fine. When you chose the history file f.ex., a window opens where you can pick the file, in this case the history.dat file. That also works fine for the mameinfo file, but when you chose the cheat file, there's no window opening. Could that be an issue?
