This one should be released on july 17th, so prepare yourself when it's finally available on the net.

I didn't know that the Persona games are part of the Shin Megami Tensei series??

I was about to say the same thing. I have both of the first two Persona games for the PS1 and neither of those mention Shin Megami Tensei anywhere in them or in the boxart.

Did the Japanese release of Persona 3 earlier this year carry the Shin Megami Tensei name?

I've been waiting for this game to get a western release for a long time so cannot wait for this.

I don't know, but it seems that the US and EU releases kept the entire title.

Do you have both Persona 2 releases? Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. I think I only have Eternal Punishment and never found the other one as it was never released outside of Japan. Have to give it a look when I'm home. Innocent Sin was the first half of the Persona 2 games.

This is what I found about Megami Tensei at WikiPedia.

There is also a Digital Devil Database site, which I cannot reach from here as it's websensed, perhaps you'll have a look.

Yes I have both Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. I've the original of Eternal Punishment and downloaded the ISO of Innocent Sin some time ago. And the Innocent Sin ISO I found was in English, but I'm not sure how considering it wasn't ever released outside of Japan. Maybe it is a fan translated version, but it doesn't give mention of this in the game anywhere.

It is interesting to find out that Persona is an off shoot of the Megami Tensei series as I hadn't realised this until now.

Did you actually test and see for yourself that it is really in english? I think I did never find an english release, but as I said, have to look when I'm home if perhaps I also have it. Do you still know where you got it from?

Sadly no. It was a long time ago that I found it. I'm sure it was on a torrent site somewhere. I only tested it very quickly via emulation when I originally got hold of it and the menu system was in English, and the first part of the game was also in English, including the character dialogue boxes.

I've also the original of Revelations: Persona, the first game in the series.
