Our oldest members will remember the origin of these forums from the early 2000s.

We started out on the GameFAQs Amiga board where the original members met. One day a admin wiped out all of our discussions. So we decided to set our own forum up to prevent that. I found a free forum host called InvisionFree where you just setup an account and created a new forum on their servers completely free.

This became popular and we had lots of active members, but then one day the site and whole Invisionfree site went down. We waited a long time for news but it was revealed they had suffered a HDD failure on the server and their backups were no good, so we lost all the forum post.

After we lost this I created the first version of the forums we have today, starting out with vBulletin 3. Hosted on a US budget shared host called Bluehost. This worked well for some time, but finally we outgrew the shared hosting and moved the forums to a hosting plan with 1&1. But eventually we also started to get issues so migrated to a dedicated server.
