Regardless of anyone's personal opinion on the Royal family, the Queen was a constant in every British person's life, having been there our whole lives. For most British people and many in the commonwealth this will feel very personal and very sad news A huge moment and shift in our country. RIP.

That's a nice memory.
I was proud to watch the funeral today and see the love and respect the Queen had from many around the whole world. And the magnitude of the whole event.
And apparently 5.1 Billion people watched it today. That's 67% of the whole world. The largest single event audience in history.
I can't see how King Charles III will easily follow in her footsets. I think William and Kate will have more affection than Charles will receive. But in going he continues his passion for conservation, maintaining countryside and pushing green issues. He now has the platform to really push that and it is one of thr most important issues we face.
