Thread: Amazon Prime Gaming

Has anyone tried Amazon Prime Gaming?

I've known about it since it launched, and have taken a look. They include games that you can claim and add to your account each month, a bit like Epic do. But that's as far as I've bothered. Not actually installed or played anything using it yet.

I expect a lot of Prime subscribers don't even know it exists. I don't even use Prime Video unless it has something no other streaming service has. I mainly subscribe for the free Prime shipping. I do sometimes take advantage of the free Kindle books included. I do however use Audible all the time these days as I listen to books driving to work, but that's a separate subscription.

I have Prime, and I know that the Prime Gaming is existing, but I never considered even checking it out. Too many games anyways.

I didn't know H....

Thing is, where do you Stop? - Steam has snaffled about 433GB of drive space....

& then there's Battle.net for COD Modern Warfare (224GB), Origin for Battlefield series & Star Wars Battlefront, then bloody "UPlay" for the Far Cry series....

Can I just install the friggin Game please??

That is the issue with PC gaming. Remembering which services is being hosted on. I try my best to get everything possible on Steam, and now EA has returned to Steam so you no longer have to look though Origin to check you own something. Uplay and Epic I try to avoid.

Then you also have GOG with their Galaxy platform. One big advantage though is you can link all your other accounts and just use Galaxy to look though all your games. One issue. I added all my other accounts and the games inported fine, but then I added my Steam account and it completely had a fit... because my Steam account has nearly 3000 games and it really couldn't handle it. 🤣

My largest game installs are currently on my PS4 though. The external 4TB drive has over 3TB used, plus about 300GB on the internal HDD. But then I do tend to install nearly everything I buy on there until I finish them.

Ohhh, we have Amazon Prime (in fact I think we have both a UK sub and an Aus sub )

But I don't have a decent PC and it's unclear whether it will work on Mac (I seem to have accumulated a few Macs at work)
