Thread: London terrorist attack

It's sad and shocking to see another terrorist attack in the UK.

I hope anyone in London is safe and didn't get caught up in the events of last night.

It's also very scary to know that there really is no way to stop this happening. Anyone can get hold of a vehicle or a knife and target pedestrians. We've seen it happen in multiple countries throughout Europe. I really don't know the answer.

In London it seems to be focused on bridges, maybe because they are straight bits of roads. Bollards between the road and pavement maybe? Who knows. I used to feel very safe in London. Will be looking over my shoulder from now on.

This is what they want though. To make everyone uneasy and destabilise a country by ostracising religious minorities.

It's more of a Global thing these days H.

This is no different to the IRA days which also included the Cold War.

I grew up in those days as you are now growing up in these, so it perhaps doesn't concern my age bracket as much as yours.....

It's called progression & it's not that long since they were still using Bows & Arrows in Nottingham. ....These days it's guns.

I do however, still find these events quite disturbing, especially when they target innocent people just trying to enjoy life. When children are involved, it's nothing short of blind-genocide.

We have seen some amazing events too, but then we all aren't Marines returning home on a flight from another Tour of Duty. - A shame National Service isn't Mandatory so everyone was a bit more switched on.

Unfortunately, Religion/Belief & Greed has always caused War's & always will.

I can't imagine what it is to live that terror.
So far Portugal is free of terrorism, but till when?

It's the long term strategy of the Islamic Ideology. You displace a population by war, the population become refugees, a country takes them in and IS aligned Imams get bought into mosques to radicalise young people, so starts the process of destabilising the new country.

Definitely, and really hard to protect a country against. A trojan horse.

The only way is sadly no free movement and locked down borders.
