Hi,
today i finish reading one more book from Arthur C Clark, "The Hammer of God". In the last page of the book, Clark thanks to some software that he used. The first ones were: Vistrapo and Distant Suns for The Commodore Amiga.
So cool, after all this years, i could read once more a reference to the Amiga, and the best,it was from one of my favorite writers.

Distance Suns was easy to find it in the web, but Vistrapo i didn't found anything, anyone hear about it?

I remember him mentioning the Amiga and landscape generators in interviews and book comments. I think they even used a quote from him in a later version's advertising.

Vista Pro was a great procedural landscape generator. It was one of the first and existing on the Amiga for years. It was given away on magazine cover disks towards the end in the mid 90s. I've got an original big box version with chunky manual.

It continued development for some time on the pc. And yoy can download it.

Distance Sun's was more advanced but appeared late in the Amiga years.
