Thread: Batman - Arkham City Installer issues

How stupid is this. I have Batman - Arkham City. The download installer lets you select an alternative download location for the game's install, but if it isn't downloaded to the default C: drive location, and your custom location has any spaces in the directory, the installer fails right at the end with an "input string not correct format" error.

Removing the space from the directory and the game installs fine.

Why can't games developers just all use Steam!

Because not all developers want Steaming Sh!te controlling their offerings.

Tbah, I really really h8 the Steam interface. It's laggy sh!t in my book.

I didn't like Steam when it first came out with HL2, but it has matured nicely over time and IMO is a very nice central gaming/download service. I never have any issues with it... no slowdown or lag. Nice fast game downloading and instant game updating without me needing to lift a finger. Removed the horrible days of the past with manual patches.

Not like Origin or UPlay.

The only little thing that does annoy me about Steam is that you can't instantly see what DLC you have installed for each game and have to look at each DLC page for it to show it is already installed or not. Other than that its good.

I also have Steam with something like 20 games installed over last 2 or 3 years. Never had a problem. Works good, and it's cool to find some retro games for 1 or 2 euros.
As Harrison said, instant game updating is a good feature, and the ability to install/unistall the same game more then once.

I'd have to agree with both your comments to a degree, but f'k Steam Cloud. Shut the F'k down or Cancel when I click it! Dont ignore my request to do so & load the bloody game etc.

Maybe it's just a syndrome akin (pardon the phun) to having a shit telephone line to this address??

It cetainly isnt down to an Ivybridge rig @ 4.9Ghz with Dual GTX 670's in any instance.....
