Samsung drives slower than the rest? Their F4 "green" drives span slowly, but were not intended for speed and were great for data drives and media centre storage. And even then, their performance was very good for their RPM. Beating many faster drives in tests. And their F3 drives were however some of the fastest drives on the market when released.

Painfully slow indeed & with poor longevity from my experiences. It's funny though, over the years I've messed with puters, hard drive manufacturers went through what seemed like stages of decay in their products before finally being bought out. Quantum, Hitachi, Maxtor have all suffered these indignitys & OMG @ the PAIN dealing with trashed Hard Drive RAID arrays near to the end of Maxtor's demise.
