Although I've always had mixed feelings towards Amiga Forever, it is good to see the project continuing.

Any ideas what is actually new in this latest release? Are the 2 video DVDs remaining the same as those provided in previous years releases, as has been the case since about the 2008 version? If so that all that anyone would need to purchase for the update would be the core Amiga Forever CD, or download web release.

Ok, so it does have some new content, if not really that much. And I'm betting all the emulation based improvements are thanks to the free WinUAE development, which I've always though isn't on. Granted they have continued work on the player interface too and a few other unique things, but not all that much to make people upgrade.

Cloanto were again very nice to send me a free copy of the latest 2012 edition a few weeks ago. I will update it to see take a look at these new features.

I'm planning to do a proper in depth review of the whole Amiga Forever package when I get time.
