40 years. How time flies.

This was a brilliant game. I had this on the Amstrad CPC back in the day and loved it. But after played the original arcade version I couldn't believe how slow the CPC version was when I played it again recently.

The bombing ability alongside the more standard shooting was quite unique for the time. You can see where Bitmap Bros got some of their ideas for Xenon from.

I was always playing it in the arcades, and I remember that I loved the sound effects, especially when those 3D metal plates come flying which you have to dodge, but the sound when shooting them was great, although they were undestroyable.

Did you ever try the 3D/G version for ZiNc, that was good too.

Someone mentioned the 3D version where I was reading about the anniversary yesterday. I don't think I did ever play it. Will have to take a look this weekend.
