Thread: DVD to store 1TB of data!
Harrison 14:11 22nd December 2006
Researchers from the UCF have developed a way to store 1TB (1000GB) of date on a single DVD disc!

Kind of makes Blu-Ray and HD-DVD both look a bit small! Even the multi-layer Blu-Ray discs that can hold 100GB of data already.

Now that, is pure awesome. we could back up the whole history of Amiga including disk images and information!

Or i could record myself rocking back and foward in a chair at such a high resolution using bitmaps....

Hard descision =P.

I should imagine he's "organising" his collection in preparation to burn onto these uber-discs.

Probably keeps getting "distracted" along the way, so it's taking a long time.

Are you guys implying that I have a lot of pr0n?

Seriously though, I really don't. Why keep it on you PC when it's only a few mouse clicks away 99% of the time?

As for the whole TB thing, that's definitely cool. I'd love to see something bury BluRay and I'm sure that could do it.
