Someone with a lot of spare time on their hands decided to see if you could upgrade Windows, starting with DOS 5 and progressing through every major version of Windows, right up to the current Windows 7.

I expect this should be possible. After all, it is possible to upgrade most Windows systems.
Is there a link to a page or something detailing someones attempt which I am missing?

Oh, embedded YouTube sh!t is blocked here to save bandwidth and make pages load faster.
I just unblocked it though and it appears to be the exact same YouTube video I watched after someone linked to it in an IRC channel, about 30 seconds after I made my last post
