Thread: A600 custom fast-ram
montecristo 05:47 27th July 2010
I just found this website where the guy claims to creat a 8mb fastram board: http://lvd.nedopc.com/Projects/index.html
Have anyone ever used this piece of hardware? I was wondering if it really does work.
By the way, is there any website selling those cool pcmcia fastram cards?

These custom 8MB fast ram expansions do work perfectly well. However this person is no longer making or selling them.

But the good news is that some other members of the Amiga community took over this project and developed it further, producing the A608 card for the A600, which is a similar 8MB fast ram expansion much like the second revision seen in the link you gave. The official website for the A608 is http://a608-amiga.co.uk/ and, although most of the people working on the project have now dropped out, Zetr0 (Keith) is the main person still working on the project and creating the hardware. There is a big waiting list for the A608 though, and the current batch being produced at the moment is completely filled. Zetr0 is also making these boards in his spare time so the output is fairly slow.
