Thread: Ebay strangeness.............

I see things on ebay that astound me sometimes.

Here is someone selling a brand new and sealed GTX285 for £80 (it's worth triple that) claiming he already bought a new card and didn't require this generous present from a family member:

Looking at the feedback, the new card he bought and chose over this awesome present was a hacked and used 1GB 4850 (plastic cover was cut away):

What??? A 2 second search would have given them the answer that the GTX 285 is far more powerful and expensive than a 4850? If I was that family member I'd be angry to have my present sold at a huge loss.

However the auction was dodgy - when they first ran it, it had a mobile phone picture of a XFX GTX 260 sat in a bedroom?? Then after four minutes they changed it to a stock retail photo of a GTX 285??? Then on the fifth minute it sold!

I await feedback response from the risk taker who bought it! LOL!

Seems strange, but someone took a risk on it within 5 minutes of it going live (not me, seemed too strange an auction and not enough feedback score, though I was tempted).
