Is that DB25 connector on the back of the A590 an external SCSI port, or is it a floppy connector?

Yes it is an external SCSI port. The A590 supports internal SCSI and XT IDE HDDs, as well as additional SCSI devices connected to the rear SCSI port. You can also add up to 2MB fast ram to the unit.
