I heard the new G N' R single, Chinese Democracy, for the first time the other night. It's the first new song I've heard from them since Use Your Illusions I/II. Not bad... It sounds fairly contemporary, considering how long it's been in production. The DJ thought it lacked soul and I can see what he means: Axl Rose is the only original member of the new line-up, so there's definitely something missing.

I must admit that the whole album lacks that *sparkle*!

For me (long time and always original formation Guns'N'Roses Fan, and expecially Slash's Guitar solos), for what i've eard theres 3 or 4 songs that i like. But it's no Guns in the real (Axl should never kept the name guns'n'roses).

The worst thing about Guns N Roses was Axl Rose...
So an album with only him left on it sounds BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.
Run away! Run away!

I used to really like G&R back in the day. Not heard this new one though, but without Slash I'm not expecting great things. Sometimes it is best to just leave something in the past and create a completely new project that isn't forever being compared to the past.
