Hi all,

I hope that someone will be able to give me a definiative answer. Was Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo ever actually released on the CD32. Some places say yes and some website don't make any mention of it. If it does i am desprate to get my hands on an original copy of it.

Hi Fairlo,

First of all, I would like to welcome you to the Classicamiga forum. Please enjoy your stay!

As for Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, it was released for the CD32. I think I actually have the review of the game in one of my CD32 Gamer magazines. I remember it said that the graphics was absolutely great, but that it lacked a bit in the gameplay department.

Getting hold of original CD32 games aren't the easiest things in the world. You can search eBay for the game, or you can try out the excellent Amiga trading site called AmiBay. Good luck in your hunt!

Hi again Fairlo,

I'll have a look through the magazines. If I find it, I'll try to scan it for you. I know it's featured in this issue: Amiga CD32 Gamer Issue 19. Now to find it.

Hi there Fairlo,

Saw your advert at AmiBay. Hope someone there can help you out.

I've tried finding that magazine with the review, but to no avail. I'll give you a sign if it pops up.

With perfect timing, the scan of that review is actually up on AMR now (pages 30-33).

Super Street Fighter II Turbo for CD32 usually sells for over $500 on eBay, and has sometimes gone higher than $700! It's supposedly the rarest game for CD32, but it does exist, unlike Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, which was reviewed but never released on CD32.

So, you can download SSFIIT for CD32 and see how beautiful it looks and sounds (music, not sfx), but just don't play it, unless you want to select Cammy and pause it to perve on her bum when she turns around. The playability is terrible. The best way to play a Street Fighter game on your CD32, unfortunately, is to burn a copy of the WHDLoad version of Super Street Fighter II OCS, which only supports 2 buttons (punch & kick). But the playability is fine, even if the graphics will make you spew up a little bit.
