Thread: Stop Uwe Boll
Demon Cleaner 10:38 16th April 2008
There's been a petition running saying "Stop Uwe Boll", and Uwe Boll himself stated that when there are 1.000.000 people signing the petition, he would stop making films. Now the list already reached 200.000, and Uwe made a statement, and started a pro Boll petition.

The guy is just plain dumb in my opinion, and I really would like that he stops making these video game films, just watch this video at YouTube:

Thinks a lot of himself doesn't he? Shame he's obviously never watched any of his own films.

For all those wishing to sign the stop Uwe petition go here.

For all those who are pro Uwe then goto hell!! Do not pass Go and do not collect $200.

The currency doesn't matter as you don't collect it anyway. All that matters is you sign the petition and put the link on as many forums as possible and get more people to sign as i think due to his ego it will take at least two million to get him to give up.

As if he ever will. Come on, the man basks in any publicity he's getting, good or bad. He's just milking this petition for all that it's worth, you can see that right? Whenever he gets some bad press he always makes some outrageous statement to fuel the fire and get massive exposure. He's loving every minute of it. It would be best if everyone just ignored him completely.

It's a mystery as to how he gets investors to fund his films, considering mostly every one of his productions tanked.

Not at all, it's well known actually. It's a german tax loophole they take advantage of. Firstly, because Germany wants to encourage investing in german movies (and Boll's film company is based in Germany) anyone investing in one can write a good chunk of it off their taxes. And should the movie fail to earn, they can write the losses off as well. It's basically win-win for the investors, major investors actually earn money on movies that fail horribly. And there's the rub, you get producers who make spectacular flops on purpose. Boll keeps going for videogame movies mostly because all except the absolute major titles are relatively easy to aquire the movie rights for.

The real mystery is that they allow him to keep doing this.

So it's all germany's fault? Right we need to start a petition to close the loophole in germany's tax laws so that the likes of Uwe Boll may never surface again.
