Thread: 5gb HD in Amiga 1200. 4gb max...

Hi everyone,

My Amiga 1200 had a 200mb hd, and i remove it to put a old laptop hd with 5gb.

The question is: 4 gb is the maximum the Amiga can take, but what? 4gb each partition? Or 4gb total space?

I make 2 particions with +/- 2gb each, in a total of +/- 4gb , but e have 1gb of non-partitioned space, can i use it to? It will pass 4gb....

Thanks

With old filesystem its, 4gb max and 2gb partitions. Im currently using OS3.9 fastfile system, with 500 megs workbench and 3.2gb for apps and games.

You can also use smart filesystem, which also get over this limitation.
